macOS Look

Turn Windows into something that looks and feels like macOS: the dock, the icons, the fonts, the little details.

For Windows3 steps
1

Add a real macOS-style dock

This is the single biggest visual change. A floating, magnifying dock instantly reads as “Mac.”

  • Install Winstep Nexus (the free version is enough) and turn on its magnify and bounce effects for the closest macOS feel.
  • Set it to auto-hide and position it bottom-center, matching macOS placement.
  • Pin your most-used apps and remove the taskbar underneath, or auto-hide it.
2

Swap the icon set

Windows’ default icons are the fastest visual “tell” that it’s not macOS, so this is worth doing properly.

  • Find a macOS-style icon pack (rounded, flat, consistent shadow direction).
  • Apply it via a bulk icon changer rather than one-by-one, to keep everything consistent.
  • Swap the cursor to a macOS-style arrow set for the full effect.
3

Get the typography and top bar right

macOS’s look leans heavily on San Francisco’s rounded, tight typography and a persistent top menu bar.

  • Install a San Francisco-alike font (SF Pro or a close free alternative) system-wide.
  • Add a top menu bar utility to mimic macOS’s global bar (clock, control center-style icons).
  • Round your window corners with a theming tool for the final detail.
